Win Your Back to School Supplies with GreatClips #GreatList

As parents, back to school is a busy, expensive time.  We have to get the kids back on their schedules, get ourselves ready for the demands of school in addition to day to day activities, and we have to make sure our kids have all of the gear that they need to succeed.
Its stressful, and expensive, but have we ever stopped and thought about the preparations being made on the other side? Every year teachers spend an average of $1,000 on supplies to help our children learn. That's a lot to pay out of pocket, and its just one of the many ways that they are supporting our children's educations.  Without their support, can you imagine how bleak our children's classrooms would be?

Telus Grand Gestures #ActsOfCaring

What would you do if you could do anything?

Would you fly a plane? Go on a shopping spree? Drive your dream car?  Me personally, I think I would have a spa day with my mom.  We never get to spend any one on one time together so I think it would be great to just hang out, talk about everything and nothing, and of course get pampered.

Suncoat Nailpolish

My daughters love getting me to paint patterns on their nails, the problem is, today they want polka-dots, but tomorrow they may want flowers, or glitter, or rainbows, or all of the above! I don't mind the painting, its nice to spend a few quiet moments with my littles, but I do mind the excessive amount of chemicals involved, especially in the harsh polish removers.

Capturing my #NikonMOMents

Photography has always been a passion of mine.  The ability to capture a moment, a split second in time, and freeze it.

Its almost magical isn't it?

I remember the first time I picked up a camera and realized what I could do with it. I was in high school and I had elected to take a photography class.  I had to borrow a camera off one of my friends dads; and it was the biggest heaviest bulkiest thing ever!
I had no idea what I was doing, and that was painfully obvious in the first few weeks that I had it.  As I got to "know" the camera (and its many quirks), I got more comfortable, and I realized that I really enjoyed taking pictures.

East made Easy with Blue Dragon

Now that summer is here, I find I'm relying less on my oven, and more on my BBQ to cook our meals.
Who wants to be trapped in the kitchen when we can all be outside, playing in the sunshine while dinner cooks? You really cant beat the taste of BBQ either, its just so fresh, and summery.

Single Jo Coffee

Its 6:03 AM, and as I walk downstairs, carrying the baby that kept me up all night, I feel like I could sleep another 17 hours.  I walk into my kitchen and deposit Zack into his highchair, all the while searching in my mind for a chunk of time I may have today so that I can sneak in a nap, but between the school runs, grocery shopping, work, ballet and a PTA meeting, I know its not going to happen
