You know what the biggest surprise was for me after having kids?
How much I didn't know. Before I had kids, I was the best parent in the world. My future children would be the best eaters and sleepers, they would speak two languages (at least) never get whiny, and just overall be perfect.
Then I woke up, actually, then I had a baby.
My theories on food, sleep, discipline, and pretty much everything else went out the window when I held that scrunchy little baby and realized that I knew NOTHING.
