I came across this little guy fishing on the beach, he didn't even care that I was there snapping away.

8 Tips For Taking Better Pictures With Your Smartphone
You never want to miss that once in a lifetime picture, but it's not always convenient, or even possible to carry around your digital camera everywhere you go. Luckily the technology found in your smart phone can be as advanced if not more so than a lot of cameras on the market, so there's no excuse for not getting amazing shots on the go. It just takes a few adjustments, a little know how and some practice.
My Day as a Wedding Photographer #NikonMOMents
I was recently given an opportunity to work with Nikon as a Nikon mom. I have to say, I have not been this excited in a long time, because in addition to having a fabulous new camera to play with, they were offering to teach me how to use it properly!
Capturing my #NikonMOMents
Photography has always been a passion of mine. The ability to capture a moment, a split second in time, and freeze it.
Its almost magical isn't it?

I remember the first time I picked up a camera and realized what I could do with it. I was in high school and I had elected to take a photography class. I had to borrow a camera off one of my friends dads; and it was the biggest heaviest bulkiest thing ever!
I had no idea what I was doing, and that was painfully obvious in the first few weeks that I had it. As I got to "know" the camera (and its many quirks), I got more comfortable, and I realized that I really enjoyed taking pictures.
Why I Love my Smartphone
I am always being bombarded with articles on Facebook about moms spending too much time on their phones/blackberries/tablets/etc.
Now, while I will be the first person to agree that too much screen time is no good for anyone, I have to step out and say that I think my smart phone makes me a better mom.

Our Maternity/Family Photos with Michell Collis Photography
Me, the hubby and Sophia were recently lucky enough to get together with Michelle of Michelle Collis Photography for a combination maternity/family photo shoot.
I desperately wanted to have maternity photos done when i was pregnant with Sophia but we just never had time, and with all the complications we had at the beginning/middle of this pregnancy I am so happy to have made it to a point this time around where we could do it.
Michelle is an amazingly talented photographer and her suggestion of a conservation area just north of Toronto was perfect for the vibe we wanted. Here are some of the pics she took for us, you can see more on her blog here. While you're there take some time to check out her work, especially the sweet little babies, you'll be glad you did.

I want to send a huge thank you to Michelle for these pics, they came out so amazing and I can't thank you enough! If you're in the GTA and looking for a photographer I highly recommend you check her out.
