I swear pregnancy and the internet do not mix, if I'm not gazing wistfully at cashmere baby blankets, I'm browsing cooking blogs. Either way this is dangerous, either for my wallet or for my caloric intake.

Jon and Kate are good for sales

As Jon and Kate Gosselin prepare to move into separate homes, their eight children spent most of last night's episode of "John and Kate Plus 8" playing in four new playhouses of their own, ironically dubbed Crooked Houses. At a price tag of $7,000 apiece, the children's new houses were perhaps emblematic of the excesses the family has reaped as a result of its TLC show, which chronicles the parents' trials raising a brood that includes sextuplets and twins

Owned by Glen Halliday, 38, and Jeff Leighton, 34, Kids Crooked Houses has been "inundated" with phone calls and catalog requests since the episode aired Monday evening.

"Within 60 seconds of Kate saying the phrase 'crooked houses' on TV last night there were 170,000 visitors to our Web site," said Halliday

Halliday said his Web developers are still scrambling to process the influx of requests the company has received since last night but said that so far they are estimating that half a million people logged on to the site Monday and nearly 7,000 people have requested catalogs as of 10 a.m. today.

Farrah Fawcett, who skyrocketed to fame as one of a trio of impossibly glamorous private eyes on TV's Charlie's Angels, has died after a long battle with cancer. She was 62.


Fawcett died at 9:28 a.m. PST on Thursday at St. John's Heath Center in Santa Monica, Calif. She was with longtime partner Ryan O'Neal, friend Alana Stewart, friend and hairdresser Mela Murphy and her doctor Lawrence Piro. She had recently returned to St. John's for treatment of complications from anal cancer, first diagnosed three years ago.

"She's gone. She now belongs to the ages," O'Neal tells PEOPLE. "She's now with he mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now."


Redmond was not there at Fawcett's side when she died, but spoke to his mother on the phone and told her "how much he loved her and asked her to please forgive him that he was so very, very sorry," O'Neal tells PEOPLE.

hey everyone! here's a first look at the brand new barbie doll - made in the likeness of german supermodel heidi klum - which will be available in stores this coming september - i'm loving that sequined dress! (the new doll is part of barbie's blonde ambition collection ... celebrating iconic blondes in both fashion and entertainment) even while being pregnant with her fourth child - ms. klum has been quite involved with the whole project and was even on hand recently to help style barbie (pictured below) for her very first photo shoot as ms. klum - i bet she also gave her a couple of tips on how to work the runway!

On the June 22 episode, Kate said the following: "Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children. While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children."

Jon followed up with his statement: "This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesn’t change that."

Summer cool downs

With the warm weather FINALLY here, it brings on a desire for friends, patios, and yummy summer drinks. Of course being pregnant, i dont get to enjoy those summer drinks, but i still enjoy making them for my friends, here are a few of my favorite recipes, Frozen Apple Margaritas, Strawberry Daiquiris, and Jolly Ranchers

Frozen Apple Margarita

• 1 cup of ice
• 1 oz tequila
• 1 oz Apple Pucker
• 1 oz apple juice
• 1/2 oz sour mix
• apple wedge for garnish

1. Pour the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth or into a cocktail shakershake well. and
2. If desired, wet the rim of a chilled margarita glass with Apple Pucker and rim the glass with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
3. Pour or strain the drink into the glass, over ice if desired.
4. Garnish with a green apple wedge.

Strawberry Daiquiri

- 2 oz light rum
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1/2 tsp superfine sugar
- 1 cup ice
- 5 strawberries
Garnish: strawberry

Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with strawberry.



Jolly Rancher

2 oz vodka
1 oz Midori® melon liqueur
cranberry juice

Pour vodka and melon liqueur into a cocktail shaker, and fill with cranberry juice. Shake, pour over ice in a highball glass, and serve.
